Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Dave Grohl selects Rainey Institute

The Cleveland Monsters will be hosting their annual Cleveland Rocks Night presented by Dominion Energy at their January 29, 2022 match-up against the Scranton Penguins.

The first 10,000 fans for the game will receive a Dave Grohl bobblehead and experience a night full of moments dedicated to the two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee who founded the Foo Fighters.

The event will celebrate Northeast Ohio’s vibrant arts and music scene while benefiting Rainey Institute. Grohl, who hails from Northeast Ohio, is an avid supporter of music education and access.  We are incredibly excited to have been selected to benefit from the event to encourage awareness and growth for youth engagement in visual and performing arts.

The Monsters Community Foundation and Dominion Energy will both be donating $5,000 toward Rainey’s mission.

Throughout the night, children enrolled in Rainey Institute programming will have the chance to share their talents with Monsters fans at Rocket Mortgage Field House.

We wish to extend our deepest gratitude to Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters, The Monsters Community Foundation, and Dominion Energy for helping us to advance our mission!

“Seeing the smile on a child’s face after they have successfully performed in front of the public is a wonderful experience and it does great things for the child’s self-esteem.”
