Councilman Basheer Jones has organized 3-days of music, food, and fun on August 3rd, 4th, and 5th! The festivities will kick off on Friday with a Block Party from 5p – 8p at East Professional Center. The Block Party will include vendors, food trucks and music by DJ Ellery Day. On Saturday, a parade kick-off will start at 12p at the Hough Multipurpose Center. A Festival will then take place from 12p – 6p at MLK High School and will feature live bands, games and activities for children, food trucks, vendors, and resources from the City of Cleveland and the community. The festivities on Sunday August 4th will begin with a Senior Pancake Breakfast from 9a – 11a at the Thurgood Marshall Rec Center. Seniors are invited to come share a hearty and healthy free breakfast. The festivities will conclude on Sunday with a family picnic from 1p – 6p at the Fannie Lewis Community Park at League Park. Food will not be provided, so families are asked to bring their grills and meals and enjoy their neighbors at the park. Hope to see everyone at the festivities!
